Grants for the purchase of BeBed beds
The Be Bed bed by Fulcor Projects is among the eligible investments of the new call of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which grants up to 200,000 euros for the investments of all tourist accommodation facilities in redevelopment, technology and eco-sustainability. Unfortunately, bathing establishments are not among the target companies of this call, which however affects the owners of hotels, campsites, holiday villages, farmhouses and other accommodation. So let’s explain in detail how you can get this interesting support.
The call from 20 million
The call has a budget of 20 million euros and is intended for all accommodation, both hotel and outdoor, located in the Emilia-Romagna Region. Expenditure on the purchase of furniture, equipment, consultancy and construction works with a view to sustainable development is eligible. The minimum investment required is 200,000 euros and the contribution of the Region can reach up to 50%, with a ceiling of 200,000 euros per company.
Applications may be submitted from 25 May 2023 and projects must be completed by 31 December 2024.
The peculiarities of the Be Bed bed
Unlike common sunbeds, the Be Bed cot boasts many innovations compatible with the purposes of the call, and therefore eligible for the regional contribution. In fact, it is a product of new conception that since its design has pursued the economic, environmental and social sustainability, and is fully eligible among the products of the so-called circular economy.
Be Bed is produced by the company Fulcor Projects of Forlì and is made with raw materials made in Italy (aluminum, stainless steel, nylon and pvc), but unlike other manufacturers of beds, it is a product with very low environmental impact. There are two main reasons:
- Reversible canvas. Thanks to a special packaging of the seats and sunshades, combined with a new technology of the frame, the canvases of the Be Bed are reversible and therefore usable on both sides. When the frame is still good but the fabric is ruined or discolored, on the common bed it becomes necessary to replace it, while on the Be Bed we can recycle it simply by turning it. Therefore, the Be Bed bed allows to halve the production of waste resulting from the use of the bed.
- Maintenance at zero kilometer. While the replacement of fabrics and the maintenance to the loom on the common bed are usually carried out exclusively by specialized companies, as special machinery are needed, on the bed Be Bed it is possible to carry out every intervention in autonomy and on the spot. In fact Be Bed integrates in the frame a system of tension of the canvas that allows the installation without machine mounted; moreover all the interventions to the frame are easily achievable thanks to the phantom hardware (not visible externally)technology for the adoption of repositionable bolts instead of rivets in use on common beds, which in case of intervention must be destroyed and replaced with special presses. The consequence of these technologies is the zero emission in the environment due to the transport of cots to and from maintenance workshops. Therefore, the simple and total repairability of the bed Be Bed make it eternally renewable, and disposal at the end of life becomes a completely negligible hypothesis.
But the ecological virtuosity of the Be Bed bed also determines an economic virtuosity, as important monetary savings are obtained thanks to the recycling of expensive fabrics and the saving of expensive maintenance by third companies. In addition, the bed Be Bed is virtuous even with users. In fact, its design has also taken into account the aesthetic need and greater comfort in order to enhance the quality of the service offered to the customer. For this reason, aesthetically Be Bed adopts the “Grand Design” frame with clean and soft lines, while for the best comfort, it boasts a seat increased by 9 centimeters compared to the common bed, a new padding under canvas integrated to the frame for the foot support, a six-position backrest movement and a series of four different optional headrest models. In addition to this, the Be Bed bed can optionally adopt the tallest leg of 13 centimeters, which promotes the use by people with disabilities or mobility difficulties even due to age.
